The driver of the bus ‘Silk City’ which came in contact with an 11-KV wire in the Golanthara area in Ganjam district on Sunday, was arrested by the Brahmapur police on Tuesday.
The arrested driver was identified as Gagan Nayak Brahamapur Superintendent of Police Pinak Mishra said prime facie investigations revealed that Nayak was guilty and his rash driving led to the tragedy.
Notably, after the incident, Nayak had jumped from the bus and fled from the spot.
