RSS chief Mohan Bhagawat, social activist Anna Hazare, Rudra Sena president Binaya Kumar Padhi and secretary Pinki Kumari Muni in a joint statement demanded completely abolition of reservation system from education, job, promotion, and election in the country.
They said that reservation system which has become a huge threat to the country and to the concept of “Merit India” is going to have serious social, political and economic consequences in days ahead. It has become a political tool only to exploit and woo the voters to satisfy their vested political interests. “We do not demand a restructuring, but complete abolition of quota system,” Padhi said.
The Rudra Sena leaders said the prevailing quota system is nothing but fragmentation in social sector with anti-national motive. The heinous system is not applicable to election of the President, PM, CMs, MPs, MlAs and Governors. Whereas the politicians and VVIPs fly abroad for their treatment at State expenses, the common man has to rely on incompetent doctors who acquired their degrees in medical science under quota system, he pointed out. Because of the existing reservation, the number of General and OBC category talents are not only victimized,
but also are deprived of their fundamental rights, Padhi added.
The politicians and high-profile rich people who hail from SC and ST communities benefited a lot from the quota and led luxurious life at the cost of meritorious General and OBC candidates and hence, it is high time, they system was done away with, he said.
Rudra Sena is contemplating to launch an agitation against quota system soon and will give a call for Odisha Bandh to protest the reservation policy, he informed.
