'AAP to halve electricity tariff if comes to power'

Published on:

like Delhi, electricity charges would be halved in Odisha if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is given a chance to form Government in the State, vowed its leaders here on Wednesday.

The leaders were speaking at the party’s district-level conference held as part of its ‘Mission Vistar’ programme. The object of holding such a conference is to highlight corruptions and discuss reasons and causes behind development obstruction in the concerned district, said party functionaries.

AAP Odisha in-chrage Khemchand Jagirdar said if the AAP forms Government in Odisha, it would certainly follow the governance policy of Delhi. “It will reduce the electricity rates to 50 per cent, provide 700 litres free drinking water, Mahalla Clinic for health services, well equipped Government schools and Rs 50,000 for crop loss per a hectare of land,” he said,

He too added that there would be no slum eviction without rehabilitation and there would be adequate arrangement for women’s safety. Appointment of lokpal would be stressed to curb corruption at all levels, he said.

National Spokesman Nishikanta Mohapatra, Binay Tiwari and many district-level leaders spoke.
