Now that the phase-I polling is over in the State, political parties are concentrating on the constituencies which will go to polls on April 17.
like other parties, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would engage its volunteers, who were helping party candidates in campaign for the phase-I polls, to help party candidates in the campaign for the second phase.
According to AAP State convener Nishikant Mohapatra, the volunteers have done a very good job during the phase-I polls and the party want them to engage in the campaign for phase-II polls to cheer up the candidates. Mohapatra said the party would intensify its door-to-door campaigning. “We have also planned to hold more and more street meetings,” he said, adding, “We are basically focusing on local issues during the campaigning.”
Mohapatra also informed that some of his party leaders along with volunteers would go to Varanasi to help AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal in campaigning. “Though it is not conformed that when and how many volunteers will go to Varanasi, some of our leaders will participate in the campaigning there,” he added.
