A woman activist of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was arrested by the police and was forwarded to a local court on Monday for beating her neighbour Premika Kerketta. The activist was identified as laxmi Seth from Basanti Colony of DAV Basti under Uditnagar Police Station.
According to reports, laxmi had certain differences with her neighbour Premika in using a wire for drying the clothes. Following an argument, laxmi thrashed her neighbour as a result Premika got fainted and was hospitalised in Rourkela Government Hospital. Though laxmi’s daughter had lodged FIR at the police station first, the police registered a case against laxmi basing upon the complaint lodged by Premika’s son after taking the locals’ statement and prima facie evidences.
