The Odisha unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday demonstrated against the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) raid at the Delhi Secretariat.
The party alleged that the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre stooped to a new low in vendetta politics by misusing the CBI. The AAP leaders and workers held a protest meet in front of the CBI office here.
Notably, the CBI raided the house and office of Rajendra Kumar, Principal Secretary to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP boss Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday.
The APP leaders and workers said that the BJP led Central Government was jealous about the growing popularity of AAP and, hence, was indulging in vendetta and harassment.
National spokesperson of AAP Nisikant Mahapatra said, “After being exposed on the demolition drive at Shakur Basti in the national capital, the BJP has started victimising the AAP Government in Delhi.”
“The former Chief Minister of Gujurat and Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused CBI as the ‘Congress Bureau of Investigation’ in Gandhinagar in June 2013 when the Central Government was led by Congress. Now, Modi is using the CBI agency against innocent people with the power of the Central Government,” he lamented.
