The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Odisha on Tuesday demanded an immediate audit by the CAG into the accounts of the power distribution companies (discoms) for the entire period since the day they started operations in the State.
The party also demanded the Government take all steps to determine the losses and recover the same from the discoms. “Unless the Government takes this up on a priority basis, people won’t forgive this gross violation of all norms of clean governance and loot of public money,” said AAP Odisha coordinator Dhanada Kanta Mishra.
The Government had cancelled the licence of the Reliance-owned private distribution companies in March this year after years of serious cheating allegations lodged against the companies.
