Three Aahaar Centres would be opened in Keonjhar district, as part of the Government’s decision to extend the scheme to different parts of the State.
One centre would be opened at the district headquarters near medical. The other two would be opened at Joda, near the community Health Centre and near Biju Patnaik Bus Terminal in Barbil. It has been decided in a meeting, organised by the Aahaar Committee, held on January 8.
In this regard, PDDRDA has written a letter to the PWD (R and B), Executive Engineer to speed up the construction work of the kitchen and outlet.
The poor people of Joda and Barbil are hopeful to avail the facility during the recession of the mining sector, sources said.
