As hundreds of Aadhaar cards were found under earth during digging   from the courtyard of a post peon in Baliapala block, the locals expressed strong commotion over it.

Alleging the cards were  buried  by the post peon under Jagai post office jurisdiction, they demanded strong action against him. On the other hand the post peon, refuting the allegations, alleged that he was  falsely implicated.

As per reports, a village   post office runs from the residence of  post peon Banchhanidhi Parida. From a portion of his courtyard land he had sold soil to his neighbour. On Saturday while the neighbour was lifting soil,  hundreds of Aadhaar cards were found buried under earth.

The enraged villagers said that due to want of Aadhaar card, several poor people were deprived of Government benefits like ration cards and other services.
