The fifth Odisha State Safety Conclave, organised by the Quality Council India, State Chapter and the Institute of Quality and Environment Management Service Private limited, was inaugurated by High Commissioner of South Africa France Morule here on Friday. Morule urged to initiate an all- inclusive approach to safety, especially in capacity building, knowledge dissemination and efficient regulatory mechanism.
As guest of honour, Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Tripathy spoke on the increasing task of industrial safety and hazards and how to mitigate it with special focus on human security and risk management. On the occasion, the Kalinga Safety award for the year 2013 was given to different wining industries, mines and construction projects.
