An Anganwardi Worker of Kashingar block in Gajapati district has been served a show-cause notice by her higher authorities for furnishing erroneous information to a section of media regarding migrants staying outside the State.
Kumari Suchismita, Anganwardi Worker of Kharada gram panchayat, gave some information to a section of media without taking prior information from the higher authorities. The Child Development Project Coordinator has asked Suchismita to clarify her statement.
Anganwadi Workers have been entrusted the charge of preparing list of villagers staying outside the State during the current Covid lockdown. While they are not authorized to give any information in that regard, Suchismita furnished wrong information to some reporters on April 4.
