The second round training programme of Presiding Officers and first polling officers for simultaneous general election was held on Saturday in all the four block headquarters of Athagarh Subdivision.
The BDOs and allied officers trained the officers regarding their duties on the poll day. The polling parties must check the EVM's control unit and balloting unit during receipt of the EVM. This apart, the POs must ensure that the battery level of the machines is high.
The polling parties have been instructed not to try the VVPAT during dispersal because it might affect sensors attached to it. Sector Officers, Returning Officer and police team will remain in touch with the polling parties during poll period, said Athagarh Sub-Collector-cum-Returning Officer for Athagarh and Badamba Assembly constituencies.
