The State on Tuesday reported 945 new Covid-19 positive cases from 28 districts and the State pool, with which the total tally rose to 13,00,873.
Among the newly-infected were 110 children in the age group of 0-18 years.
Notably, the State had detected 816 Covid cases on Monday.
Out of the new cases, 533 were from quarantine and 392 local contacts.
Khordha district reported the day’s maximum 37 cases followed by Sundargarh with 103, Cuttack 75, Sambalpur 53, Subarnapur 37, Mayurbhanj 32, Nayagarh 27, Puri 20, Kalahandi18, Rayagada 15, Jagatsinghpur 14, Jajpur 13, Boudh and Balangir 12 each, Gajapati and Bargarh nine each, Nuapada seven, Koraput and Bhadrak six each, Jharsuguda and Baleswar five each, Kandhamal and Ganjam four each, Nabarangpur and Deogarh three each and Kendrapada, Angul and Dhenkanal two each,
Besides, 76 cases were reported from the State pool.
The number of active cases increased to 6,316.
So far, 12,85,374 patients have recovered from the disease and 9,130 have succumbed to it in the State.
