A 91-year-old man, Kashinath Padhi, was discharged from the Jeypore Covid Hospital on Wednesday after defeating the deadly virus with a strong willpower.
Padhi is a resident of Basuguda Sahi of Kotpad in Koraput district. He will remain under home isolation for next few days on doctors’ suggestion to avoid spread of the infection.
Notably, Padhi was fifth member of his family to have contracted the virus. Earlier, his son Santosh Padhi, grandsons Abinash Padhi and Deepak Padhi and a close relative at his home had been infected. They recovered afterwards.
