A 91-year-old man has brought cheers to the medical fraternity by defeating the deadly coronavirus at the SUM Covid Hospital here.
Dhirendranath Das, a former official of the Press Information Bureau and the All India Radio, had been admitted to the hospital on September 5 after being infected by the virus.
He was also suffering from age- related ailments. "My father told us he would defeat the virus when he was being taken to the hospital. His wish has materialised because of the efforts of the doctors and nurses," the man’s daughter Debadatta Das said.
