A flying squad of the Excise Department here on Thursday seized over 90 kg of ganja on transit and arrested three persons in this connection. Sources said the contraband was worth Rs 50 lakh in grey market.
Tipped off, the squad was camping at the Ring Road here near the Naraj Barrage when the ganja-laden vehicle entered the city in the morning. The vehicle was coming from nearby Athagarh area and the consignment was apparently coming to the city to be routed to several rural pockets, excise officials said.
