Rayagada district Collector Jagannnath Mohanty gave away homestead land pattas to 87 families displaced due to establishment of the Utkal Alumina International ltd at a function held at Tikiri on Sunday.
The displaced families from D Karol (Talasahi) village have been staying at Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) Colony for the last three years. The Collector advised the displaced families to work together with the company in achieving the desired objective of holistic development of their communities and the area.
Sub-Collector Muralidhar Swain, Special land Acquisition Officer SK Madina and Utkal Alumina President Vijay Sapra and Senior Vice-President M Ramesh Kumar were present, among others.
