As many as 85 students from various areas like NCC, NSS, Scouts and Guides, Youth Red Cross, Junior Red Cross, sports, literature, Odissi dance, art, science and literature were felicitated with the Rajiv Gandji Prativa Puraskar-2013 here on Tuesday to mark the death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi.
Organsied by the Rajiv Gandhi Students’ Forum, the event was attended Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers Srikant Jena, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Jayadev Jena, leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Bhupinder Singh, AICC secretary Mirza Arsad Beg and many others. Forum president Satyabrata Nayak presided over the meeting.
The guests remembered the charming personality of Rajiv Gandhi and called upon the youth mass to follow his principles.“Rajiv Gandhi’s contributions in the fields of education, science, technology and healthcare will always be remembered,” observed the guests.
