leading local philanthropic and socio-cultural organisation Graduates’ Club held a voluntary blood donation camp at the Biswanath Bidyapitha here on Sunday being inaugurated by local MlA Ranendra Pratap Swain. Eighty-five units of blood were collected.
Sub-Collector Harish Chandra Nayak, NAC Chairman Suchitra Sahoo and SDMO PK Hota attended the meeting held for the purpose as guests. Club president Sarat Panda presided over the meeting while vice-president Subash Rout read out the annual report. Adviser Sudhiranjan Dash introduced the guests. Secretary Parthasarathi Pattnaik coordinated the programme while Harihar Mishra gave a vote of thanks.
A doctors’ team of the Cuttack Red Cross Blood Bank collected the blood from the donors. NCC cadets of the Gopabandhu Science College, Biswanath Bidyapitha, Volunteers of Youth Red Cross and Junior Red Cross of local colleges and schools assisted in the programme.
