Continuing its massive raids on the Seashore Group for the second day on Friday, the CBI, probing the chit fund scam, searched offices of the company at eight places across the State.
According to reports, a four-member team of the CBI conducted searches in the company offices at Mahaveer Bazaar and Ganesh Bazaar in Dhenkanal town. Another team of the agency also raided offices of the company in Baleswar.
The Central investigating agency during its raids also interrogated agents and area managers of the company and collected information. The probing agency also quizzed owners of the buildings, where the offices were operating.
Sources said the CBI would conduct raids at the houses of some film directors and producers, who were involved in making films for the Seashore Group. It would also reveal the entertainment industry’s link with the company.
On Thursday, the CBI had conducted raids on the houses of company officials and offices at 29 locations of the State. The probing agency had searched houses of CMD Prashant Dash in Bhubaneswar, STV director Gopal Sahu in Khurdha and residences of some other top officials of the company and seized some incriminating documents from the houses.
