8 hurt as bus overturns in K'pada

At least eight persons were injured when a private passenger bus, in which they were travelling, turned turtle at Adhajori-Malipur on Pattamundai-Rajnagar road on Monday.The bus carrying nearly 42 passengers was returning to Gupti in Kendrapada district from Paradip.  The incident took place when the bus driver lost control due to ditches on the road and the bus fell into a roadside water body.

However, no casualty was reported in the accident. The injured were rushed to the Pattamundai CHC. later, four of them were shifted to the Kendrapada District Headquarters Hospital while the rest were rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
