The State police on Wednesday registered three cases against returnees for violating quarantine norms or absconding from quarantine centres during last 24 hours.
In the MV-79 police station of Malkangiri district, a case was registered under the Disaster Management Act on the Kalimela BDO’s report against three persons, who were found wandering outside violating the quarantine norms.
In the Orient police station of Jharsuguda district, a case was registered under the Act on the Executive Magistrate’s report against a person for moving outside a containment zone.
In the Jagannath Prasad police station of Ganjam district, on the report of the Gandadhar panchayat Sarpanch, cases were registered under the Act against four persons for violating quarantine norms.
