The district administration in collaboration with the local Employment Exchange organised a job fair at the stadium ground at Chhatrapur on Friday to help unemployed youths of the region get jobs as per their qualifications and professional competence. Separate registration counters were opened for 22 blocks and the Brahmapur Municipal Corporation. A total of 37 companies and organisations, including 32 from outside the State participated in the drive.
While a total of 4,105 candidates registered for the drive, 2,984 were selected for counselling. Of the 2984, job letters were offered to 760 successful candidates. Besides, 1,276 candidates were offered training letter with placement assurance after completion of their respective training in different organisations, said a release of the DI and PRO, Ganjam.
