State capital city Bhubaneswar recorded a comparatively higher number of 745 new Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, with which its total tally increased to 39,237. Of the new cases, 598 were local contacts and 147 were quarantine cases.
The local contacts included 33 cases from Old Town, 31 from Khandagiri, 30 from Nayapalli, 21 from Chandrasekharpur, 18 each from Laxmisagar and Jharapada, 17 from Mancheswar, 16 from Damana and 10 from Bharatpur.
The active cases in the city stood at 4,763. Till now, 34, 202 have recovered and 251 have succumbed to the disease in the city.
