A special squad of the Civil Supply Department with a Magistrate and police raided the house of BJP leader Tuna Sahu of Changudia village in Chhendipada area and seized 73 Indane lPG cylinders.
After the widely discussed Vigilance raid on Pradhan Gas Agency at Talcher owned by the brother of Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and subsequent raid on Maa Durga Indane Gas Agency at Boinda in Angul district owned by one Ajit Mishra, brother of Mandal BJP president Biswajit Mishra, the raid on the house of a rural BJP leader and seizure of huge numbers of lPG gas cylinders has created flutter in the entire area.
It is revealed that all the seized cylinders are of Maa Budhi Indane Gas Agency. Owner Santosh Naik is also a BJP leader and was the BJP MlA nominee in the previous Assembly elections.
Naik told that he had kept all the seized gas cylinders in the house of the Tuna Sahu to distribute to the beneficiaries under Ujwala scheme.
Meanwhile, the BJD and Congress, while making
it an election issue, demanded stern action against the dealers.
