Jharkhand Police and the CRPF personnel arrested seven People’s liberation Front of India (PlFI) cadres while conducting a joint coming operation in the Saranda jungle on Odihsa-Jharkhand border on Saturday.
The arrested have been identified as laxman Narayan, Suman Minz, Siba Narayan, Prafulla Majhi, Ananad Kumar, Durga and Amar Singh.
Besides their arrest, two rifles, three pistols, three live bullets, one magazine, two bikes and some organization papers have been recovered from their possession, informed Chainbasa SP Narendra singh.
The SP said the arrested have confessed to a crime in which they had killed a SPO Jawan of Jharkhand Police, Nucleus Munda (31), on 15 August in Saranda Jungle while he was going by a cycle to duty from his village Bandgaon.
It may be noted that on Friday evening six bike-borne masked miscreants suspected as PlFI cadres had ransacked three private buses at luaram in Nuagaon block under the Bisra police station and threatened the vehicle drivers to ask their owners to give them ransom.
So Odisha police is now in touch with Jharkhand Police to know if the nabbed PlFI cadres were involved in the Friday incidence.
