At least seven persons were injured when miscreants threw acid on them during a Ganesh idol immersion at Beguniapada under the Kodala police limits in Ganjam district on Sunday night.
Sources said three out seven injured persons were taken to the MKCG Medical College Hospital here for treatment where the doctors said the condition was stable. Actual reason of the acid attack is yet to be known. Meanwhile, the police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
