State capital city Bhubaneswar on Friday registered 698 new Covid-19 positive cases, increasing its total positives’ tally to 38492.
Out of the new cases, 548 were local contacts and 150 were quarantine cases.The local contacts included 28 cases from Chandrasekharpur, 24 from Baramunda, 17 each from Jharpada and Khandagiri, 16 from Laxmisagar, 14 from Baramunda, 11 from Bapuji Nagar and nine from Dumduma.
Currently, the active cases in the city stood at 4,417. As many as 33,803 persons have recovered and 251 patients have succumbed to the disease.
