Nearly 600 voters of Tangar village in Dhenkanal district boycotted the lok Sabha and Assembly polls on Thursday for various reasons, sources said.Though the polling parties waited for voters throughout the day at the two polling booths in the village, none of the electors turned up to exercise franchise. The villagers opted out of voting protesting Government’s apathy in effecting development in their village, reports said.However, Dhenkanal recorded the highest of 75 per cent polling in the second-phase elections in the State.
