The police, with the help of zoo authorities, had searched the zoo and nearby sanctuary thoroughly but had not been able to find the girl. later on October 8, the police circulated her photograph to other police stations and pasted it at public places. Two days ago, one Binod Kumar Nayak, an auto-rickshaw driver, informed the police about the girl. The police found the girl from the house of another auto-rickshaw driver Kabiraj Rout at lingipur.

Dr Sharma said the girl was fit and fine while she was rescued. She was staying in Kabiraj’s home like a normal child. “Still we are investigating whether Kabiraj had criminal intention or not by keeping the girl child,” said Dr Sharma and added that the police informer Binod would be suitably rewarded.
