A six-year-old girl was injured after being shot at accidentally by a seven-year-old boy with a gun meant to drive away monkeys in Raghunathpur village under the Sadar block in Cuttack district on Saturday.
The girl sustained injuries in her waist. She was admitted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar.Later, the girl’s father Shantanu Jena later lodged a complaint at the Kandarpur police station alleging that the incident was fall out of past enmity.
However the boy’s family members claimed that he accidentally pulled the trigger of the loaded gun causing injury to the girl.
