Cuttack district excise sleuths along with their Athagarh counterparts on Wednesday seized six quintals of ganja worth about Rs 30 lakh from a mango orchard near Mathamundia of Achalkote under the Tigiria police limits and arrested a woman in this connection.
As per reports, the district excise mobile team under the leadership of Inspector Prabir Samal along with the Athagarh excise staff led by Inspector Sanjit Barla raided at different places of Athagarh and Tigiria blocks and seized the contraband.
The arrested woman was identified as Sandhyarani Majhi. Her husband who is supposed to be the kingpin in the ganja trade was absconding.
