At least six chit fund companies, which are now under the scanner of State Crime Branch police, have approached the Odisha High Court seeking its intervention for operation of their frozen bank accounts. Jointly adjudicating the petitions of all these companies, a Division Bench of the High Court comprising Chef Justice C Nagappan and Justice Pradeep K Mohanty on Wednesday directed the Crime Branch to submit detailed information about the individual companies including their frozen bank accounts.
Green Ray International, GlP Developers ltd, Golden land Developers, Micro leasing and Financing Company, Micro Finance ltd and BASIl International have made separate petitions in the High Court seeking de-freezing of their bank accounts.
Issuing notices to the Crime Branch to file the details on the matter immediately, the High Court fixed July 15 as the next for further hearing on the petitions, sources said.
