Miscreants set six bikes and an SUV on fire during a Danda Nacha show on a village road in Ganjam district. The vehicles were completely burnt before a fire tender reached the spot.
The incident was reported from landei Sahi under the Bhanjanagar police limits on Thursday.
According to reports, the miscreants set afire the bikes and the Bolero parked at the backyard garden during the Danda Nacha, which was organised by a local identified as Dayanidhi Behera.
The cause behind the arson was yet to be ascertained. After getting information about the incident, police reached the spot and launched inquiry.
Notably, the Danda Nacha is a local ritual performed ahead of the Mahabisuba Sankranti, also known as Pana Sankranti.
