With evaluation of answer-sheets of High School Certificate (HSC), State Open School Certificate (SOSC) and Madhyama examinations beginning on May 20 amidst Covid-19 crisis, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has brought in a set of modified procedures for the evaluation process.

The evaluation would be carried out at 60 centres across the State.

The BSE has asked the District Education Officers (DEOs) to ensure that all head of the institutions relieve the Chief Examiners, Deputy Chief Examiners, Examiners and Scrutinisers so as to enable them to join their pre-designated evaluation centres on May 20 at the prescribed time.

Nearly, 6,000 more examiners have been appointed to evaluate the answer-sheets. Their names are available at the website www.bseodisha.ac.in. The institution heads should relieve these newly appointed examiners and the examiners who had already joined for evaluation on March 18 and 19.

Due to lockdown situation, some of the teachers might have left the headquarters and gone to their home towns in other districts. Keeping this in view, the board has taken steps to engage the teachers at evaluation centres where they are currently residing. However, these teachers have to register names with the concerned DEO or at the nearby evaluation Centre. The registration form is available at the website. Registration should be completed by May 19.

All the evaluators would have to follow the Covid-19 guidelines like wearing of mask, sanitising hands before entering the centre, and maintaining of social distance.

Different teachers have been allotted different timing for joint and leaving the evaluation centres in order to avoid unnecessary gatherings.

In order to maintain social distance, extension centres have also been selected to carry out evaluation at some evaluation centres.
