State capital city Bhubaneswar on Sunday registered 566 new Covid-19 positive cases, with which its total tally increased to 80,485.
Out of the new cases, 454 were local contacts and 112 were quarantine cases. The local contacts included 42 cases from Patia, 26 from Old Town, 25 from Nayapalli, 16 from Patrapada, 12 from Shailashree Vihar, 11 each from Laxmisagar and Unit-8, 10 from Saheed Nagar, seven each from Rasulgarh and Sundarpada and six each from Niladri Vihar, Mancheswar and Pokhariput.
Currently, the active cases in city stood at 8,796.
However, 1,231 patients recovered on day, with which total recoveries rose to 71,313 in city. Till now, 355 persons have succumbed to disease in city.
