A 56-year-old man was arrested for keeping physical relation with a 33-year-old widow nurse and blackmailing her here.
According to police sources, the widow, a mother of a 13-year-old son of village Kadua, who is eking out her living by working as a nurse in Bhagabati Nursing Home and stays with her son in a rented house at Garapur under Kendrapada Sadar police limits, alleged befire the police that she was repeatedly raped by one Siba Prasad Acharya of Garapur village for last several years. Acharya was regularly coming to the widow’s house to take private tuition class of her son.
Acharya has been living alone for last seven years after his wife spurned him. He had allegedly developed intimacy with the widow and managed to develop physical relationship with the widow slyly by giving drug-laced food stuff on several occasions earlier. Even, Acharya had managed to take obscene photo of the widow without her knowledge. Acharya was allegedly blackmailing the widow with the obscene photos and forcing her to marry him.
Being denied, Acharya had even sent the obscene photos to her relatives, she alleged. Acting on the FIR, Sadar Police arrested the accused. On Sunday, Acharya was produced before the SDJM court of Kendrapada where he was remanded into jail custody.
