The State on Tuesday recorded 509 new Covid-19 positive cases in 26 districts and the State pool, taking the total tally to 12,94,585.
Among the newly-infected were 52 children in the age group of 0 to 18 years.
Notably, the State had registered 572 cases on Monday.
Out of the new cases, 299 were from quarantine and 210 local contacts.
Khordha district recorded the day’s highest 200 cases followed by Cuttack with 110, Sundargarh 49, Puri 14, Jajpur 10, Jagatsinghpur and Nayagarh nine each, Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur eight each, Bhadrak seven, Kalahandi and Kendrapada six each, Baleswar five, Gajapati and Nuapada four each, Keonjhar three, Bargarh, Boudh and Koraput two each and Subarnapur, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Balangir one each.
Besides, 41 cases were reported from the State pool.
The active cases numbered 3,539 .
So far, 12,81,866 patients have recovered from the disease in the State.
