The Ganjam police have arrested over 500 criminals who had warrants against them and seized 15 revolvers during last 16 days, informed Ganjam SP Ashish Singh at a Press meet here on Saturday.
The police have also arrested 83 other accused persons, he informed.
He also said, “We have received complaints that there is a lack of coordination between the police and general people. The police should behave with the people properly, failing which strong action would be taken against them.”
Police patrolling has been activated in the district, the SP said.
“We would also circulate the photos of dacoits and arrest the other culprits soon,” he added.
