A total of 173 IAS, IPS and IFS posts are now lying vacant in the State, informed Chief Minister Naveen Patnik in the State Assembly on Monday.
In response to a question of BJD MlA Bijaya Kumar Mohanty, the Chief Minster said 50 posts out of required 236 IAS officers, 82 out of 188 IPS posts and 41 out of required 141 IFS officers are lying vacant.
A total of 23 OAS, OPS and OFS officers have been promoted to the IAS cadre during the last three years, he said.
He further informed that 26 IAS officers, 22 IPS officers and eight IFS officers of the State are on Central deputations now.
