Courts in Bhadrak have not been functioning for over 50 days due to lawyers’ strike, thus causing problems for litigants.
“Poor and illiterate villagers have been coming to court campus here without being aware of the fact that the courts are not working in Bhadrak. They are spending money and valuable time fruitlessly,” said a resident.
Similarly, typists, vedors and others who are dependent on the functioning of the courts have also been facing deep financial troubles whereas Government officials and judges are enjoying time without work pressure,” the resident said further, urging for an early solution to the mess.
Meanwhile, Bhadrak Bar Association president Bishnu Mohapatra said the ceasework agitation would continue till their demands are met. “Since none from the Government side comes with fruitful solution we cannot say when the strike will end,” Mohapatra said.
