Five persons, including Kshamasagar Bhoi from Chhattisgarh and Kashinath Gouda from Jharkhand would be conferred with the Veer Surendra Sai Samman for the year 2015, informed Utkal Sammilani Mancheswar Industrial Estate branch head Dillip Dashsharma here on Tuesday.
Presiding over a preparatory meeting for the Veer Surendra Sai Jayanti Utshav to be held on January 23, Dashsharma informed that the rest three persons to be felicitated with the award are Er Premananda Mohanty, Dr Niranjan Satpathy and Pandab Charan Routray of VSS Nagar of here. Besides, a school-level Odia Olympic examination would be held and the winning students would be distributed with prizes on the occasion, he added.
Among others, VSS Nagar Durga Puja Committee president Siba Prasad Mishra, general secretary Artatrana Dalai, Unayan Parisad president Hrudayram Brahma and Sammilani Secretary Gobinda Chandra Subudhi were present at the meeting. The award will inspire others to excel and create example for others.
