While the essential workers like police are enforcing social distancing measures and stay-at-home orders, they are increasingly contracting coronavirus themselves.
On Saturday, five personnel of the Capital police station here, including a driver and a Home Guard, tested positive.
Earlier, seven personnel of the police station were infected. The first case was a woman Constable detected on July 25. Later, six others were found infected with the virus.
As many as 11 cases have been detected at the police station located at Unit-1 in the last two days.
The increasing positive cases at the police station have triggered panic among the staffs.
