Though the Governor’s Secretariat acting on a petition filed by Rashitriya Mukti Morcha national secretary Somanath Routray on January 14 this year had directed the Revenue and Disaster Management (R&DM) Principal Secretary to conduct an inquiry into his grievance, the department is yet call him to record his statement.
“On December 28, 2012, I had submitted a petition to the Governor regarding the Intercity Batika land scam at Giringaput mouza that occurred in 2011 and also regarding the land scam in Johal mouza in 2012. The Governor’s Secretariat on January 14, 2013 directed the R&DM Secretary to do the needful and intimate me about the result of the investigation. But though five months have elapsed, I am yet to receive a letter from the department to record my statement,” rued Routray.
As per the system, the R&DM Department should call me and record my statement on my allegation. But nothing such has happened till date which exposes the dubious role of the some Government officials in this regard, alleged Routray. He too warned to draw the attention of the Governor again on the issue.
