Police on Saturday arrested and court-forwarded five persons for allegedly gangraping a minor girl at Goudaguda village in Malkangiri district after luring her for a job in a hospital. The incident had come to the fore when the victim lodged a complaint with the police.
According to sources, Saroj Sagadia, who is an accused, is a Grade IV employee at the local hospital. He brought the girl and kept her at his quarter promising her to give a job in the hospital. later he and his four friends gang raped her. The girl has been shifted to a shelter house, sources said.
