The BN Pur police on Sunday arrested five persons, including mastermind Aditya Sahu of lanjipalli Bapuji Nagar, in a loot incident that occurred at a lawyer’s house at Aankoli Nigam Nagar here on Saturday.
On Saturday morning, some miscreants entered into the house of advocate Satyabrata Sahu on the pretext of cable inspection and later snatched away a gold chain and Mangalsutra from Sahu’s wife Sujata. Sujata with the help of some locals managed to nab one of the culprits. later, police arrested other accused by conducting raids.
Of the four other accused, two belong to Brahmapur while the rest two are from Adaba in Gajapati district. The cops also seized the looted chain, two knives and a toy gun from their possession, said SDPO Santanu Dash at a Press meet held here on Sunday.
