An enforcement squad of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Commissionerate police on Monday demolished some illegal constructions of drug peddlers in the Haladipadia slum under the Laxmisagar police station here.
Seven asbestos sheet structures were partly demolished due to shortage of time.
The rest unauthorised constructions would be demolished on Tuesday.
The drug peddlers whose houses were demolished are Sarif Khan,Aysa Bibi, Tulasi Das, Pradip Pradhan, Dilip Singh and Sanjay Mohanty.
BDA Enforcement Officer-II Pramod Kumar Patro, Liaison Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty, ACP Amerandra Panda, ACP Anil Kumar Mishra, Laxmisagar PS IIC Dayanidhi Nayak and Badagada PS IIC Dilip Kumar Swain were present.
