Under the direction of Ganjam Collector Premchand Chaudhary, a team of the district administration on Friday conducted raids on five diagnostic centres here on the grounds of various irregularities. During the raid, the team led by Deputy Collector Ipsita Priyadarshini Mishra and ADMO Saroj Mishra sealed diagnosis machines from the five clinics. The clinics include Anuradha ladies Clinic, Jagannath Modern Diagnostic Centre, Gayatri Clinic, Sahara Diagnostic Centre and Niramaye Diagnostic Centre.
Earlier, the district administration had sent showcause notices to theses clinics. However, following unsatisfactory replies by the clinics, the district Collector directed to conduct raids. There is possibility of some specific action to be taken against theses private clinics under the Clinical Establishment Act, sources said.
