The annual Baleswar Mahotsav, Pallishree Mela and an expo will be orgainsed here from December 14 till Dec 18 at the ITI field.
The five-day programme would showcase the potential and investment opportunities of the district with the main objective to attract investors and provide market to the producers.
A meeting in this regard was held under the chairmanship of district Collector Pramod Das, where DRDA PD Uday Nayaran Das, Sub Collector Ramchandra Palta, DIC GM P Prabhakar Rao, DIC manager CK Behera, representatives of ORMAS and other district level officials were present and chalked out agenda for smooth conduct of the event.
The Mahotsav is hosted each year in association with the Baleswar Chamber of Industries and Commerce (BCIC). Besides large, medium, small and micro industries, handicraft, cottage industries and SHGs would participate.
The units would showcase their products. A platform would be provided for the buyers and sellers for interaction and business. The Government institutions, banks, other financial institutions, private institutions and educational institutions would take part in the event, said sources.
Above all, the Defence units at Chandipur would showcase their products in the pavilions. Each evening there would be attractive cultural shows by various troupes. There would be around 500 stalls in the fair and the budget is estimated to be about `22-23 lakh.
