The fourth evening of the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra (GKCM) Award Festival at the Rabibdra Mandap here on Tuesday witnessed another splendid performance of major band ‘Samarpan’.
Samarpan is a musical offering by youthful artists, who have come together with an intention of showing musical solidarity to the traditionally-rich Indian classical music. As the name suggests, it is an attempt to musically surrender to the great musical ethos and create every moment musically-joyful.
The band comprised Ojas Adhiya (tabla), Vishal Dhumal (keyboards), Ninad Mulaokar (flute), Manas Kumar (violin), ID Rao (saxophone) and Gautam Sharma (percussions). This contemplative juxtaposition of rhythmic variations enthralled the audience till the end of the show.
